Sports Ministry Contacts

CrossPoint's Sports Ministry has a simple mission---we use sports to introduce families to Jesus Christ. Sports is huge in the Katy community, so we believe the most effective way to outreach to families here who don't know Jesus is through sports. We offer fun activities for everyone in the family.

Too often, we say and do things for our own selfish reasons. We focus on ourselves and attempt to glorify ourselves. When we do this, we lose our perspective on Jesus' desire for us to love each other as we love ourselves. We become self centered as opposed to Jesus centered. This is true in all aspects of life, even sports. CrossPoint's Sports Ministry redirects our focus from ourselves back to Jesus by sharing God's word with athletes of all ages and skill levels. Suddenly, winning a game isn't as important as what my child and I are learning from the experience and how it will impact our future. Although there is a great deal of pressure to be the best and win at all costs, it's not what Jesus has in mind for us.

“Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.”
