Each week, dozens of men and
women from the CrossPoint family put their talents
and time to great use in shaping our Sunday
morning experience. But the goal is not to put on a
show – not at all. Each week,
musicians, vocalists and
other artists come together to create a place
where God can receive praise
from His people and where those same people can
receive His truth, His love and His grace in
return. That is why they gather; that is
worship.
And it takes people of all
different talents, skill levels and interests to
make it happen all around the CrossPoint community –
in the worship center, in Children’s Ministry, in
Youth Ministry, and more.
If you are a musician, a
vocalist, an actor, or an artist of any stripe or
skill, you are welcome to see if
Worship Arts is God’s
place for you.

Ancient
Truth : Modern Sound sums up what the arts at
CrossPoint are all about. While we are constantly
striving to find creative new uses of technology
throughout our community, we do so to lift up and
announce the timeless, unchanging truth of God’s
grace found in Jesus in a way that resonates with
the hearts of people in our corner of the world.
To make this happen, it requires
an army of people to run light, mix sound, run cameras, mix videos and more – who put
the creativity of God’s
people on display through
technology.
If you are comfortable with a
computer, or a wannabe filmmaker, or a music
aficionado, or are simply intrigued by the tech
arts, you are welcome to see if this is God’s place
for you to serve.

Jesus taught that
children are valuable,
that they need to know His truth, His grace and His
love. And at CrossPoint we believe the exact same
thing.
On Sunday mornings we offer a Children’s Ministry program
that spans the ages, from infants through 5th grade, that seeks to teach deep, Biblical truths to all
children. Our goal is not merely to entertain
children, but to train,
grow and
love children just like
Jesus.
We also believe that moms and dads are the primary
and most important teachers of the faith. Serving in
Children’s Ministry not only blesses kids, but
gives parents and adults experience and confidence in teaching
the truth and grace of God.
There are many ways in which you can serve in
Children’s Ministry – from being a shepherd in JAMmin’ Hour for elementary age students, to working
with preschoolers and infants, to offering
administrative, musical, and technological
assistance. There is a place for you in Chidlren’s
Ministry. You can help us make it the best hour of
every child’s week! We invite you to see if

Make a difference in the life of a non-English speaking adult by joining CrossPoint’s ESL team.
By volunteering as an ESL teacher or helper, you can help CrossPoint reach out to the Katy community. ESL classes start on Thursday,

The goal of CrossPoint’s
Youth Ministry is to give students – of Jr. and Sr.
High students – a place of their own on Sunday mornings
and during the week where they can grow in knowledge and
trust in Christ as well
as build positive relationships with peers and
adults.
Youth Ministry at CrossPoint involves large group
teaching, worship, serving events, Bible studies,
small groups and more. And to make it all happen, it
requires the talents and energies of
devoted adults who desire
to mentor and the students of this community how to live
as wise, faithful, followers of Jesus Christ.

At CrossPoint, we stand
with Christians throughout the centuries who believe
that just as He did in the life and work of
Jesus Christ – God
still enters our world to this day; offering us
grace, faith, and assurance of His love in real,
physical, and experiential ways.
God does this through the
sacraments: baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
In these very simple, yet very holy acts, God uses
basic elements like water, bread, and wine to
deliver to the world the very things that Christ
bought for us on the cross through His death, namely
grace, faith and forgiveness
of sins.
At CrossPoint we take the celebration of baptism and
the Lord’s Supper seriously and with reverence , but also
with a heart of joy and creativity.
Each celebrated once a month, there are several
teams that help provide a memorable baptism
experience for the whole community and a moving,
family-oriented observance of the Lord’s Supper.
They do everything from greeting families who will
be baptized, preparing bread and wine, to decorating
the worship center with candles and fabrics that
help set the right stage for this incredible
celebration.
We truly believe that serving on one of these teams
is one of the most impactful and important ways that people can serve God’s community – and we
would love for you to see if it is a fit for you!

The
New Testament Book of Acts tells us that since the very beginning
of Jesus’ ministry, there has been a great
need for His followers to step up
and serve by offering
assistance in the day-to-day operation of
God’s church.
At CrossPoint we see this as an incredibly
valuable place to
serve. Each week CrossPointers help God’s work move
forward through CrossPoint by volunteering hours in
the church office, managing projects and assisting
the pastoral staff. If you have got hours to
give during the week, we would love to have you be a
part of our office environment.

Kind
hearts, warm
smiles, and great food
have a way of filling people with joy and helping
them come one step closer to grasping God’s love.
The goal of CrossPoint’s Hospitality Team is to
provide that sense of warmth
and kindness on Sunday
mornings through food, drinks and lots of smiles!
Serving everything from breakfast to a great cup of
coffee, many people have found that the Hospitality
Team is a great (and easy)
way to have an impact in God’s community.
Besides, who couldn’t find joy in offering a free
doughnut to a smiling kid?

It may sound simple, but
a strong handshake and
a bright smile can make
all the difference as to whether or not someone
enters God’s house happy, cheerful and ready to
connect with God.
With this in mind, we have a large team of greeters
whose job it is to simply offer a smile, answer
questions, and guide our guests through their
experience at CrossPoint Community Church.
The Greeter team serves for approximately 30 minutes
on Sunday, doing everything
from opening doors, shaking hands and handing out
worship folders, to passing offering plates and
showing first time guests to a great seat.
Fun. Easy. Impactful. That is what Greeters at CrossPoint are all about. On a Sunday morning your
smile is God’s smile to all who walk through our
doors.

As you know, we seek to
find creative, relevant and beautiful ways to speak
God’s ancient truth to a modern culture. One of
the biggest ways we do this is through our
video production teams.
Each month, CrossPoint creates numerous short films,
video announcements and artistic pieces to be used
in numerous venues throughout our community. If you
love a great film, consider yourself a blossoming
filmmaker, or have a heart for editing, scripting or
anything else..., then we would love to see if this
is an area where you can serve God’s movement.

Through the faithful
gifts of His people, God has blessed our community
with some great facilities. And the best way for us
to honor His gifts is to do all we can to keep them
in great repair so that God’s work here can not only
continue, but do so in sparkling facilities.
Men and women who consider themselves handy are an
amazing resource to this community doing everything
from touching up paint, fixing furniture, replacing
fixtures and even stacking chairs – keeping this
place looking great and saving thousands and
thousands of dollars for God’s mission in the
process.
This may just be a great place for you to serve!

People were created by
God not just to work, but to play. And in doing so
we believe that God teaches His people valuable life
skills while helping us build life-changing
relationships.
CrossPoint’s Sports Ministry aims to change our
community through life-changing athletics. Yes, we
believe playing Dodgeball can be life-changing! For
the athlete at heart, this is a great place to serve
God as a coach, mentor, or much more. We’d love to
have you and you family as part of the team.

The needs of our
community are great. But the good news is that God
has answers for those in need. Many times these
answers are best given in the form of individual, couples or
group counseling. In these settings, God’s truth can
be applied directly and powerfully to the hurts and
heartaches people encounter in this world.
While certain skills and
capabilities are required to be a counselor in our
ministry, you might just be perfect to serve by helping line up
appointments, lead a discussion group or more.

God’s promise is that
when people offer prayers in His name, He not only
listens, He answers.
At CrossPoint, our Prayer Ministry serve as a source
of great strength and guidance, not just for
individuals, but for the entire community. By
offering prayer on Sunday mornings, to special
worship services, answering on-line requests, and
hosting prayer vigils, CrossPoint’s Prayer Ministry
brings people into the presence of God, recognizing
His power and requesting His providence.
If you have a heart for prayer and would like to be
a part of this ministry, we would love to see if

CrossPoint’s bookstore
seeks to equip our community with everything they
need to move forward in their Christian life, as
well as be a positive influence among those they
love. Located
in the Commons of CrossPoint's Westgreen campus, the
bookstore is the one-stop place to purchase tickets,
register or sign-up for all CrossPoint
events.
